On this page

Credits are Belancer's own points, separate from money. Freelancers use them to send proposals, boost a proposal to the top, send sealed proposals, and use AI tools like a gig draft in Gig Studio. You earn free credits on the welcome journey and from rewards; buying packs opens soon. Credits have no cash value, so they're never withdrawn or converted.

Before you start

  • You need a freelancer (seller) profile to spend credits on proposals.
  • Your credit balance shows at the top of Belancer credits ("Your credits").

Steps

1Open Belancer credits

From your account menu choose Belancer credits. You see your balance and "earned · spent · for proposals, gig boosts and AI tools".

2See what credits unlock

What credits unlock:

  • Submit proposals to projects: 2 credits.
  • Sealed proposals: 5 credits.
  • Boost a proposal to the top: 10 credits.
  • Promote a gig in search, when it opens.
  • AI tools, like a gig draft in Gig Studio.

3Spend credits

The cost is shown before you confirm an action, and taken at the same moment the action happens. If the action fails, nothing is taken.

4Check your history

Every change is listed with the balance after it: rewards, purchases, spends, refunds and corrections by Belancer.

5Get more credits

What happens next

When credits come back (for example a project closed before any proposal was viewed), they appear as a new entry in your history. Reward credits close to expiry are used first.

Troubleshooting

  • "Not enough credits." Earn or buy more, then try again.
  • My credits went down by themselves. Reward credits expired. Check the history for "expired".
  • I was charged credits but the proposal didn't send. Refresh. A spend is tied to the action; if the action didn't happen, it's reversed. Contact support if not.
  • "Buying credits opens soon." Packs aren't on sale yet; use your free credits.

Good to know

  • No cash value: credits can't be withdrawn, sold or moved to another account.
  • Agencies: credits used on agency proposals come from the agency's credits.
  • Fair use: credits obtained through fake accounts or abuse are removed.

Tip: Save boosts for projects that closely match your skills. One strong, boosted proposal beats several generic ones.

Note: Costs are set by Belancer and can change. The cost on screen is always the current one.
