On this page
New freelancers get free credits for the steps that help them start: signing up, finishing the seller profile, verifying their ID and publishing their first gig. This is the Welcome journey in your credits hub. You can earn more by inviting friends and sharing Belancer once on social media. These are reward credits, so they expire after a while; use them on your first proposals.
Before you start
- A Belancer account. The sign-up reward is added straight away.
- Want the most? Plan to finish your seller profile, ID check and first gig.
Steps
1Open the welcome journey
Go to Belancer credits. The Welcome journey card shows "Earn your first … credits" and your progress, with each step marked earned, waiting or to do.
2Sign up
20 credits as soon as your account is created.
3Complete your seller profile
30 credits when your profile goes live. You see "Seller profile complete!" See complete your profile.
4Verify your ID
20 credits when your ID check is approved. Choose Verify ID from the celebration screen or your dashboard. See ID check.
5Publish your first gig
30 credits when your first gig is approved and live. See create a gig.
6Invite friends and share
- Invite friends: copy your link under Invite friends. You get 5 credits per friend who joins and verifies their phone.
- Share once: a one-time share earns 10 credits.
What happens next
Each reward appears in your credit history with the date it expires. When you spend credits, the ones closest to expiring are used first.
Troubleshooting
- A step shows "waiting". It's being checked (for example your ID check or gig review).
- My friend joined but I got nothing. They need to verify their phone number with the code. Also check they used your link.
- The reward vanished. It expired, or it came from an account that broke the rules.
Good to know
- Once per person: making extra accounts to earn rewards breaks the rules and can lead to restrictions.
- No cash value: reward credits can't be withdrawn or swapped for money.
- Clients don't need credits, so the journey is for freelancers.
Tip: Finish all the welcome steps early on. You'll have enough credits for several proposals before buying anything.
Note: Reward amounts are set by Belancer and can change. The hub shows the current amounts.
Questions and answers
How many free credits can I earn on the welcome journey?
Sign up 20, seller profile 30, ID verified 20 and first gig published 30. The hub shows your progress.
When do I get credits for inviting a friend?
5 credits once your friend joins with your link and verifies their phone number.
Do free credits expire?
Yes. Reward credits expire after 180 days. They're used before bought credits, so you rarely lose them.

Are there other ways to earn free credits?
Belancer sometimes runs time-limited reward campaigns. They appear in your credits hub when they're on.
