How to verify your ID on Belancer (NID, passport or birth certificate + selfie).

The ID check (eKYC) confirms you are a real Bangladeshi citizen living in Bangladesh. Go to Verify your ID (in your seller setup under Verification), choose your document, upload clear photos, take a selfie, add your present and permanent address, and choose Submit for review. Once approved, you get the verified tick and can publish gigs, send proposals and withdraw.

Before you start

• Your NID (front and back), passport (photo page) or birth registration certificate.
• A phone or laptop camera for the selfie, and good light.
• Your phone and email verified first. See verify your phone number.
• Your account name must match the name on your ID.
• Files: JPG, PNG or PDF, each up to 10 MB.

Steps

1Open Get verified

From your seller setup choose Verification, then Verify your ID. The Get verified page shows whether your email and phone are verified.

2Choose your ID document

Pick National ID (NID), Passport or Birth registration certificate. A birth certificate has no photo, so we may ask for a second document.

3Enter the document details

Type the document number exactly as printed, and your Date of birth. You must be at least 12.

4Upload clear photos

Upload the front (and back for NID). Place the card on a dark, flat surface, show all four corners, avoid glare and keep the text sharp.

5Take a selfie

Choose Take a selfie. Hold still, face the camera in good light, remove sunglasses or a cap. We compare it with your document.

6Add your addresses

Fill in your Present address: Division, District, Upazila / thana, Post code, and House, road and area. For Permanent address, tick Same as present address if it's the same. Your address stays private.

7Give consent and submit

Read and accept the consent to process your ID data, then choose Submit for review.

What happens next

You see "Submitted" and the status In review. A Trust & Safety reviewer checks your document, selfie and details by hand. When approved, you get an email, a verified tick on your profile, and welcome credits (20). If something is wrong, you see the reason and can fix it and submit again.

Troubleshooting

• "Upload refused: blurry, cut corners, wrong type or too large." Retake the photo in daylight, fill the frame, use JPG, PNG or PDF.
• Selfie failed. Find even light, look straight at the camera, and keep your whole face in the frame.
• "Your name must match your ID." If your account name differs (for example a nickname), contact support to correct it.
• Rejected with a reason. Fix exactly what the reason says. You have 3 tries in total.
• "Not eligible." Selling is only for Bangladeshi citizens living in Bangladesh, shown by a Bangladeshi address and a verified Bangladeshi phone.
• Still "In review" after a long time. Some cases need a second look. Contact support if it has been much longer than 24 hours.

Good to know

• One ID, one account. The same document can verify only one Belancer account. A second account with the same ID is sent to a fraud review.
• Payouts must match. Your bKash, Nagad or bank account must be in the same name as your ID. See add a payout account.
• Clients never need this check. It is only for people who sell and withdraw.

Important: Belancer staff will never ask you to send your NID by WhatsApp, email or Messenger. Upload it only on the Get verified page.

Note: Your documents are kept securely for the legal period after your account closes, then deleted. See privacy and cookies.
