Your matches and For you: who is recommended and why

In short. After Discover, Your matches ranks mentors for your goal and For you shows rows of picks. Each card says why it fits, and you can say it is not for you. It takes 4 steps: Open Your matches; Read the reasons; Act on a card; Open For you.

Once you have told us your goal in Discover, Belancer lists mentors ranked for it on Your matches, and shows more rows of picks on For you: mentors, programs, and gigs or freelancers when they fit. Every card says why it was picked. Nothing is paid for a better place in these lists.

Before you start

  • Finish Discover first, so Belancer knows your goal.

Steps

1Open Your matches

Open Your matches from your Discover summary. Mentors appear in ranked order, each with a price, a rating and a Why list.

2Read the reasons

The Why lines tell you what fits: a skill you still need, a role you are aiming for, your stage or your budget. If we could not find your exact niche, we keep the wider area it sits in, and a line says so (for example, it covers the wider area, or the mentor has broader expertise). That is a wider match, not an exact one. Use the lines to compare.

3Act on a card

Tap View mentor to read the profile, or Book free intro when an intro call is offered. Tap Not for me if it does not fit and tell us why, so the next picks improve.

4Open For you

Open For you for more rows, such as mentors and programs. Tap See all on a row to see every pick in it.

If something goes wrong

  • I see no matches. Finish Discover and set a goal. Matching can also be paused for now, so try again later.
  • The same person keeps showing. Tap Not for me and pick a reason. We show fewer like it.
  • I want a project finished, not a mentor. Use the Managed projects card on the page: one price, one person to talk to, delivery in milestones.

Note: We show the reasons so you can judge. You are always free to ignore a pick.
