Vacation mode and "Available now" are not on Belancer yet. To take a break today, pause your gigs one by one in My gigs: a paused gig is hidden from search and takes no new orders, while your open orders and messages carry on. If you offer paid calls, pause consulting too. When you're back, resume them.

Before you start

  • Check your Orders list. Pausing doesn't stop open orders: deliver them or agree new dates before you go.
  • Tell clients with open orders when you'll be away.

Steps

1Open My gigs

Open Gig Studio and choose My gigs. Each gig shows its status and the actions Edit, View, Pause and Archive.

2Pause each gig

Choose Pause on every gig you want to stop. The gig moves to Paused: clients can't find or order it, and its page says the seller isn't taking new orders right now.

3Pause consulting (if you offer calls)

Open your consulting settings and choose Pause consulting. Bookings are hidden; calls already booked stay booked. Your gigs are not affected by this switch.

4Keep up with open work

Open orders keep their deadlines. Deliver them, or ask for more time from the order page. Messages keep working while your gigs are paused.

5Resume when you're back

In My gigs, choose Resume on each paused gig. In your consulting settings, choose Resume. Everything is back in search straight away.

What happens next

Paused gigs keep their reviews, packages and history. Nothing is deleted, and you can pause and resume as often as you need.

Troubleshooting

  • A client still messaged me. Messages always work. Reply when you can, or say when you'll be back.
  • My gig didn't come back after Resume. Refresh My gigs. A gig paused by Belancer (not by you) shows the reason and stays paused until it's fixed.
  • "You have reached your active gig limit." Pause or archive another gig before resuming one.

Good to know

  • Pausing one gig is the same action whether you're on a break or just busy. See manage my gigs.
  • Coming soon: a vacation mode that pauses everything at once with a return date and an auto-reply, and an Available now switch that shows clients you can start right away.

Note: This guide will show vacation mode and Available now once they open.

Tip: Pause before you leave, not after. Unanswered messages and missed deadlines hurt more than a short break.

Questions and answers

Is there a vacation mode?

Not yet. A one-switch vacation mode with a return date and an auto-reply is coming soon. Today you pause each gig in My gigs.

What happens to my open orders when I pause a gig?

They continue as normal, with the same deadlines. Pausing only stops new orders on that gig.

Can clients still message me?

Yes. Messages always work, so reply when you can or tell clients when you'll be back.

How do I come back?

Choose Resume on each paused gig in My gigs. It returns to search straight away.

A coming-soon switch to show clients you can start right away. It isn't on Belancer yet.
