An agency is paid per order, and each order will be delivered by one member. As the owner, you decide how each member is paid: Salaried (the agency keeps the whole amount and pays the member itself) or Commission (the member gets a share you set). You can set this up today. Agency orders, the automatic split and the Agency Balance are marked Soon in the agency menu and open later.

Before you start

Steps

1Open a member

In your agency, open Members and choose a member. Their page shows their Role and Pay type.

2Choose the pay type

Under Pay type, choose Salaried or Commission.

3Set the member's share

For Commission, type the Member share (%). The example next to it shows how a ৳10,000 or $100 net order would be split between the member and the agency. Choose Save changes. The member gets an email.

4Check the Members list

The Members list shows each member's pay type. A member whose share isn't set shows Share not set and can't be assigned orders until you set it.

What happens next

When agency orders open, each order will be assigned to one member, and the share at that moment is saved with the order. When the client approves the work, Belancer takes its fee, the member's share goes to the member's own Pending balance, and the rest goes to the Agency Balance. This guide will show those steps once they open.

Troubleshooting

  • I can't change a member's pay. Only the agency owner can. Managers can invite members, and the owner sets pay later.
  • The share field won't save. Use a whole number from 1 to 100.
  • Orders and Agency Balance show Soon. They aren't open yet. Your members and their pay are saved for when they do.

Good to know

  • Members' solo work stays theirs. Their personal profile, solo gigs and own Balance are not affected by the agency.
  • Changing a share affects only orders assigned after the change.
  • BDT and USD stay apart, like any Belancer Balance.

Tip: Agree pay with each member before you invite them, and set it straight after they join.

Note: Belancer's fee will be the same on agency and solo work. See Belancer fees.
