How to book a paid consultation call with an expert on Belancer.

To book a consultation, open a Belancer Consultant's profile and choose Book a call. Pick a length (15,30,60 minutes), choose a free time (shown in your time zone and theirs), answer the pre-call questions and pay. You meet in Belancer's private call room; afterwards you get the consultant's notes, and the payment is released only after the call.

Before you start

• A Belancer account. Choose Sign in to book if you're not signed in.
• Know what you want to get out of the call: two or three clear questions work best.
• Your payment method for your currency.

Steps

1Find a consultant

Use the Consultants tab in search, the consultants directory, or a profile with the Belancer Consultant badge. Each card shows topics, the price for a call and the next free time.

2Choose Book a call

Under Book me for, see the topics the consultant covers. Choose Book a call.

3Pick the length and time

Choose a call length, then a time. Times show in your time zone, with the consultant's time too. No suitable times? Message the consultant to ask about other times.

4Answer the questions

Answer the consultant's pre-call questions so they can prepare.

5Pay

Choose Paying as (personal or company) and your payment method. The time is held for 15 minutes while you pay. When payment succeeds, you see Confirmed with a session number starting S- and an option to add it to your calendar.

6Join the call

Open My calls and the call page. The room opens 10 minutes before the start. Choose join; you'll see "Private call on Belancer · not recorded", a timer, chat and screen sharing.

7After the call

The consultant shares notes in the call page. You may get a follow-up offer for further work.

What happens next

Your payment is released to the consultant 24 hours after the call, unless you report a problem before then. Reminders come by email and notification before the call.

Troubleshooting

• "Bookings are not open right now." The consultant paused bookings. Try another consultant or check back.
• The time was taken while I paid. Pick another time; nothing was charged.
• "The room is not open yet." It opens at the time shown, a few minutes before the call.
• Connection problems in the call. Refresh the page and rejoin; check your camera and microphone permissions.
• The consultant didn't come. You get a full refund automatically; no dispute is needed.

Good to know

• Packages: some consultants sell a package of several calls at a set price; it shows on their booking page.
• Need to move it? See reschedule or cancel a call.
• Mentoring is separate. A consultation is one paid expert call and lives under My calls. 1:1 mentoring with an approved mentor lives under My mentoring. See mentoring.

Tip: Share files or links in your pre-call answers. Consultants give much better advice when they can prepare.

Important: Never share phone numbers or pay a consultant outside Belancer. Only calls booked and paid on Belancer are protected.
