Belancer keeps fees simple. Freelancers pay one fee on what they earn, taken when the money is released. Clients see any client service fee as its own line before they pay, depending on their currency. Withdrawals have a small fixed fee per method. Every fee is shown before you agree to it, and an order keeps the fee it was placed with, even if Belancer changes its fees later.
Before you start
- Know your account's currency: BDT for Bangladesh, USD for everywhere else. See account country and currency.
- Fees are set by Belancer and can change with notice. The numbers on your screens are always the current ones.
Steps
1Freelancer fee per service
Taken from the freelancer's share at release:
- Gig orders and custom offers: 10%
- Project milestones: 10%
- Hourly work: 10%
- Consultations: 10%
2Client service fee
- Clients paying in BDT: 0%.
- Clients paying in USD: 5% ("Belancer's client fee for payments in USD").
It's shown on its own line in the checkout summary.
3Withdrawal fees
- bKash: ৳0
- Nagad: ৳0
- Bank: ৳0
4Minimum prices
A gig package starts at ৳500 for BDT or $5 for USD.
5See fees on your documents
- Freelancers: your monthly statement shows Belancer fees separately.
- Clients: each invoice shows Belancer service fee, and VAT if it applies.
What happens next
When a client approves the work, the freelancer's fee is taken and the rest goes to their Pending balance, in the same currency the client paid. Nothing is ever converted between BDT and USD.
Troubleshooting
- The fee on my order looks different from today's fee. The order kept the fee that applied when it was placed.
- I see a client fee on a BDT order. It reflects Belancer's current setting; it's always on its own line.
- My earnings are lower than the price. Check the fee line in Transactions or your monthly statement.
Good to know
- Credits aren't fees: credits pay for proposals, boosts and AI tools, not for orders. See credits.
- No hidden charges: gateway charges are covered by Belancer.
- Fee changes are announced in advance and never touch open orders.
Note: Fees for managed projects are shown on the quote you receive.
Tip: Price your gig with the fee in mind, so the amount you receive matches your goal.
