Gig stats: impressions, clicks, orders, conversion and earnings

On this page

Your gig stats show how buyers find and choose your gigs. Impressions are how often your gig card was shown, clicks are how often someone opened it, orders are how many bought, and conversion is orders ÷ clicks. Find them on your Freelancer home under Last … days, or choose See analytics for every gig and period.

Before you start

  • You need at least one live gig. New gigs show "data appears tomorrow".
  • Agency owners and managers can see agency gigs, also split by member.

Steps

1Open Analytics

On your Freelancer home, find Last … days with Gig impressions, Clicks, Orders and Conversion, and choose See analytics. You can also open Analytics from the account menu.

2Choose a period

Switch between the periods offered (7, 30, 90 days). Totals sit at the top and a table lists each gig.

3Open one gig

Choose a gig to see a daily chart of impressions, clicks and orders.

4Read the numbers together

  • Many impressions, few clicks: your first image and title aren't catching attention. Try a clearer picture and a title that names the result.
  • Many clicks, few orders: buyers like the idea but don't buy. Check your prices, What's included, delivery time and reviews.
  • Few impressions: improve your tags, category choice and profile strength, and stay active.

5Check earnings

Earnings show in BDT and USD separately, after Belancer's fees. For full money details, use Statements & invoices. See statements and invoices.

What happens next

Make one change at a time, wait a week or two, and compare the same period. Stats update every night, so you'll see the effect of each change clearly.

Troubleshooting

  • All zeros on a new gig. Data appears the day after a gig goes live.
  • Conversion shows "After 20 clicks". Not enough clicks yet in this period; try a longer period.
  • Today's numbers changed overnight. Today's figures are estimated and corrected when the day ends.
  • Numbers look lower than expected. Bot traffic and your own clicks are removed.

Good to know

  • Compare like with like: look at the same period for each gig before deciding which one to improve.
  • Stats are private: your gig numbers are for you; clients never see them.
  • Small numbers swing: with few views, one order changes the conversion rate a lot. Judge trends over a longer period.
  • Paused gigs collect no impressions while paused.
  • Older data is summarised by month after a while, so you can still compare seasons.
  • Ads: if you promote a gig, sponsored clicks are labelled separately so you can judge the cost.

Tip: Your response time also affects orders. Buyers often message before ordering, and a fast, clear reply turns clicks into orders.

Note: These stats are for you and your agency team only; clients never see your impressions or conversion.

Questions and answers

What is an impression?

An impression is one time your gig card was shown to someone, for example in search results or a category page.

Why don't I see conversion yet?

Conversion (orders ÷ clicks) is hidden until a gig has at least 20 clicks in the period, so a handful of clicks can't give a misleading number.

Do my own clicks count?

No. Your own views and bot traffic are left out.

Why are BDT and USD earnings shown separately?

Belancer never adds or converts the two currencies. Earnings are shown in each currency, after Belancer's fees.

How often do stats update?

Once a night. Today's figures are an estimate until the day is complete.
