How to reset your Belancer password (forgot password)
In short. Forgot your Belancer password? Get a 6-digit code by email, set a new password and sign back in. Other devices are signed out for safety. It takes 6 steps: Open Forgot password; Ask for a code; Enter the code; Choose a new password; Enter your authenticator code (if asked).

On this page
If you forgot your password, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page, enter your email, and choose Send code. Type the 6-digit code from your email, choose a new password and save it. You're signed in again, and every other device is signed out.
Before you start
- Access to the email on your Belancer account.
- If two-step sign-in is on: your authenticator app or a recovery code.
Steps
1Open Forgot password
On the Sign in page, choose Forgot password? You see Forgot your password?
2Ask for a code
Type your Email and choose Send code. You see "If an account exists for that email, we've sent a code." This message is the same for everyone, so nobody can use it to check who has an account.
3Enter the code
On Set a new password, type the 6-digit code from the email. It works for 10 minutes. If it expired, choose Resend code when the countdown ends.
4Choose a new password
Type it in New password and again in Repeat new password. Use at least 8 characters with a number and a symbol. Don't reuse a password you use anywhere else.
5Enter your authenticator code (if asked)
If two-step sign-in is on, type the code from your app in Authenticator code, or a recovery code.
6Save
Choose Save new password. You see Password changed: "Other devices are signed out." Choose Sign in if you're not signed in automatically.
What happens next
- We email you that your password changed. If that wasn't you, contact support right away.
- Withdrawals and payout-account changes pause for 24 hours, to stop anyone who stole your password from taking your money.
Troubleshooting
- "Wrong code." Use the newest email; asking for a new code cancels older ones.
- "This code no longer works." Too many wrong tries. Ask for a new code.
- "You've asked for too many codes." You can ask 5 times an hour. Try again later.
- "You've used this password before on this account." Pick a new one.
- "The two passwords don't match." Retype both carefully; use Show to check.
- I no longer have access to my email. Contact support. We'll verify your identity before helping.
Good to know
- Reset or change. If you know your current password and are signed in, use change your password in Settings › Security. Use reset only when you have forgotten it.
- Strong password tips. Use a short sentence you can remember, mixed with numbers and symbols. Don't use your name, phone number or birthday, and don't reuse your email password.
- Old Belancer users. If you used Belancer before and never set a password (for example, you only used Google), you'll be asked to set one with an email code the first time you sign in.
- Watch for fake reset emails. Real Belancer emails never ask you to reply with a code or password, and their links go to belancer.com.
Important: Belancer will never ask you for this code. Don't share it, even with someone who says they're from Belancer.
Tip: After resetting, turn on two-step sign-in so a stolen password alone can't open your account.
Questions and answers
I didn't get the reset code. Why?
For your privacy we show the same message whether or not an account exists. Check the email address, your spam folder, and wait for the countdown before asking for a new code.
Can I reuse my old password?
No. Your new password can't be the same as your last 3 passwords on Belancer.
Why can't I withdraw after resetting my password?
For your safety, withdrawals and payout-account changes pause for 24 hours after a password reset.
I have two-step sign-in and lost my phone. Can I still reset?
Yes, with one of your recovery codes. Without the app or a recovery code, contact support; we'll check your identity first.
Will I be signed out everywhere?
Yes. A successful reset signs you out of all other devices and we email you that your password changed.
