On this page

A company account lets your business hire on Belancer as one organisation, with its own page, billing, invoices and team. Open the account menu, choose Create a company, fill in the company details and choose Create company. You become the owner. Then add billing details, invite your team and, if you like, verify your business.

Before you start

  • Your own Belancer account. Clients don't need the ID check.
  • The company's legal name, registered country, industry, size and logo.
  • For verification: trade licence and eTIN (and BIN if VAT-registered) in Bangladesh, or a registration certificate elsewhere.

Steps

1Create the company

Open the account menu and choose Create a company. Fill in Company details: name, registered country, industry, size and logo. Choose Create company. "You're the owner. Invite teammates by email and give each a role."

2Complete the company page

In Company settings, add the about text, city and website. Your public page is belancer.com/company/ followed by your company's link name. It shows open projects and reviews from freelancers.

3Add billing details

Under Billing, enter the Legal name on invoices, an optional tax ID (BIN or VAT number, "Printed on invoices") and Send invoices to (optional). Invoices also show in the company's orders.

4Invite your team

Under Team, choose Invite by email, pick a Role and choose Invite. See company roles and acting as.

5Verify your business (optional)

Under Verification, upload your documents and send them. Our team reviews them within about 3 working days. When approved, your page shows Verified business.

What happens next

Switch Acting as to the company whenever you post projects, buy gigs or pay. Orders, invoices and reviews then belong to the company. Set spending limits for your team in Spend limits. See company spend limits.

Troubleshooting

  • "Add the company name." The name is required.
  • I picked the wrong country. The country sets the currency and can't be changed by you; contact support.
  • Verification needs more information. Read the request and send the extra document.
  • My verification expired. It follows your trade licence date; we remind you 30 days before. Upload the renewed licence.

Good to know

  • Payment verified: after the company's first successful payment, its page shows Payment verified.
  • Selling as a business: a company that wants to sell services applies as an agency through its owner. See start an agency.
  • No self-hiring: company members can't hire their own company's agency.

Tip: Fill in billing details before your first payment so every invoice carries your legal name and tax number.

Note: Ownership can be transferred to another team member later; the old owner stays as an admin.
