On this page
My gigs is where you manage everything you sell. Each gig shows its status, its numbers for the chosen period, and actions such as Edit, Pause, Resume and Archive. If our team asks for changes, the gig shows Changes needed with reasons; fix them and choose Send again.
Before you start
- Open My gigs from the account menu or your Freelancer home.
- Agency gigs are managed by the agency owner and managers.
Steps
1Find your gig
Use the status tabs: All, Active, In moderation, Changes needed, Draft, Paused and Removed. The header shows how many active gigs you have out of your limit.
2Read the row
Each row shows the gig picture, title, the From price, when it was Updated, and impressions, clicks, orders and conversion for the last 30 days. See gig stats.
3Edit a live gig
Choose Edit. Small edits (for example FAQ or wording) go live straight away. Big edits to the title, category, packages or gallery go to review; your approved version stays live until the new one is approved. To cancel a pending edit, choose Discard changes.
4Fix a gig marked Changes needed
Choose Fix and send again (or See status). Read each reason, update the gig, and choose Send again. Common reasons: contact details in the text, prices that don't match what's included, misleading claims, or poor images.
5Pause or resume
Choose Pause to hide a gig from search and stop new orders. Open orders keep going. Choose Resume to bring it back. Taking a break? Pause each gig; a one-switch vacation mode is coming soon.
6Archive a gig you no longer sell
Choose Archive and confirm Archive this gig?. It disappears from your active list but stays in your history with its reviews and orders.
What happens next
You get an email and a notification when a gig goes live, needs changes or is removed. Drafts keep your progress; choose Continue to finish them.
Troubleshooting
- "You've reached your active gig limit." Pause or archive a gig before publishing another.
- My edit is stuck "In moderation". Reviews usually finish within 24 hours. Your old version is still live meanwhile.
- "This gig was removed." Read the reason and the policy linked. If you disagree, appeal from Account health. See strikes and restrictions.
- I can't resume a gig. Your account may be restricted, or the gig needs changes first. Check Account health.
- Prices changed on a buyer's order? They don't. Orders always keep the price from checkout.
Good to know
- Withdraw from review: if you sent a gig by mistake, choose Withdraw while it's in moderation to bring it back to draft.
- Taking a break? Pause your gigs one by one; vacation mode is coming soon. See taking a break.
- Agency gigs show the agency name, and each order is assigned to one member.
Tip: Review your weakest gig every month. A new first image or a clearer Basic package often lifts clicks more than a price cut.
Important: Never add phone numbers, emails, social handles or outside links to a gig, even in an image. They're removed, and repeated attempts can lead to a strike.
Questions and answers
Will editing my gig take it offline?
No. Big edits (title, category, packages or gallery) are reviewed, but your approved version stays live until the new one is approved. Small edits go live at once.
What happens to open orders when I pause a gig?
They continue as normal. Pausing only hides the gig from search and stops new orders.
Can I delete a gig?
You can archive it. Gigs that have had orders are kept in your history and never fully deleted.
Why does my gig say Changes needed?
Our team found something to fix, such as unclear pricing or contact details. Open it, read the reasons, fix them and choose Send again.
How many gigs can I have active?
My gigs shows your limit as 'x of y active gigs'. Your limit depends on your level.
My gig was removed. What can I do?
Removal comes with a reason and may add a strike. You can appeal once if you think it was a mistake.
