On this page

Your Belancer Balance is where your money on Belancer lives. Freelancers see a BDT card and a USD card side by side; they're kept separate and never added together. Each card shows money held for open orders, Pending money (released, waiting 14 days), and Available money you can withdraw. Open it from the account menu: Belancer Balance.

Before you start

  • Earnings appear after your first order or milestone is released.
  • Withdrawals need an approved ID check and a payout account. See add a payout account.

Steps

1Open Belancer Balance

From the account menu, choose Belancer Balance. "Your earnings by currency. BDT and USD are kept apart and never added together."

2Read each card

Each card ("BDT balance", "USD balance") shows:

  • Available to withdraw: yours to withdraw now.
  • Pending · next on a date: released money waiting before it's Available.
  • Payment Secured for open orders: client money held for work in progress. It's not yours yet.
  • Being paid out: withdrawals on their way.
  • Withdrawn so far.

3See what's coming up

Coming up lists Pending amounts with Available on dates. Anything On hold shows "On hold while a problem is checked".

4Withdraw

5Check your transactions

Under Transactions, filter by Currency and Type (Orders, Refunds, Became available, Withdrawals, Adjustments, Top-ups). Each row shows Available, Pending and held amounts. Choose Export CSV to download.

What happens next

When money moves from Pending to Available, it appears as "Pending became available" in your transactions. Your monthly statement summarises everything. See statements and invoices.

Troubleshooting

  • "No earnings yet." You'll see money after your first release. Choose Create a gig to get started.
  • "Withdrawals need an approved ID check." Choose Verify my ID.
  • "Withdrawals are paused until … after a password change." A short safety hold after password, phone or payout changes.
  • "A payout account changed, so withdrawals are paused until …." New payout accounts wait before their first payout.
  • "Your balance is on hold. Contact support." Contact support; a reviewer will explain.

Good to know

  • Why Pending exists: clients can still raise a problem for a short time after release. After that, money is safely yours.
  • Clients: your Balance holds refunds by default, and your billing page shows how much is in Payment Secured for open work.
  • Agencies: the Agency Balance works the same way; only the owner withdraws. See agency earnings split.

Tip: Plan withdrawals around the Available on dates rather than the release date.

Note: Belancer uses the words Balance and Earnings in the app. If you're looking for your "wallet", this is it.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between Pending and Available?

Pending is money released to you that is waiting 14 days before you can withdraw it. Available is money you can withdraw now.

Why are BDT and USD shown separately?

Belancer never adds or converts the two. You're paid in the currency the client paid in, and each currency has its own card.

Why can't I withdraw my USD?

Withdrawals are in BDT only for now. Converting USD to BDT opens soon; until then your USD stays safe on its card.

Why does some money say 'On hold'?

A problem was reported on that order or milestone. Only that money waits until it's resolved.

Can clients have a Balance?

Yes. Refunds go to your Belancer Balance by default, in the currency you paid.

Can I download my transactions?

Yes. Choose Export CSV on the Transactions list, for one currency at a time.
