How to create a Belancer account (sign up).

You can create a Belancer account in about a minute. Enter your name, country, email, mobile number and a password, agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy, then type the 6-digit code we email you. After that you choose a username and tell us whether you want to work or hire.

Before you start

• An email address you can open right now.
• Your mobile number. In Bangladesh it looks like 01XXXXXXXXX.
• Decide your country carefully. It is set once and decides your currency: Bangladesh means taka (BDT), anywhere else means US dollars (USD). See account country and currency.

Steps

1Open the sign-up page

Go to belancer.com and choose Create a free account (or Sign up). You see the Create your account form.

2Fill in your details

• First name and Last name. If you plan to sell, use the name on your ID, because payouts must match it later.
• Country. Pick from the list.
• Email.
• Mobile number with the right Calling code.
• Password. At least 8 characters, with a number and a symbol. The strength meter tells you when it is good.

Tick the box to agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy, then choose Create account.

Tip: Prefer not to type a password? Choose Continue with Google at the top. Belancer will still ask your country and mobile number once.

3Verify your email

We send a 6-digit code to your email. On the Check your email screen, type it and choose Verify email. The code works for 10 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, wait for the countdown and choose Resend code.

Important: Never share this code. Belancer staff will never ask for it by phone, SMS or chat.

4Choose your username

Your username appears on your profile, gigs and reviews, as belancer.com/@username. Use letters, numbers or underscores. If it's taken, pick one of the Suggestions. You can choose Skip for now and set it later in Settings.

5Tell us your goal

On What brings you here? choose I want to work or I want to hire, then Continue as a freelancer or Continue as a client. Not sure? Choose Explore first.

What happens next

You land on your home page with a short guide showing your next step. Freelancers continue to the seller setup. Clients can post a project or browse gigs. Your mobile number is verified later, when you first need it.

Troubleshooting

• "This email already has an account." Choose Sign in instead, or Reset password if you forgot it.
• "This number is used by another account." Each mobile number can belong to one account. Sign in to the other account or use a different number.
• "Too weak." Add a number and a symbol and make it longer.
• "Wrong code." Check the newest email; older codes stop working when you ask for a new one.
• "You've asked for too many codes." You can request up to 5 codes an hour. Wait and try again.
• "We don't support this country yet." Choose another country from the list, or contact support.

Good to know

• One person, one account. Please don't open a second account. Several accounts on one device or one ID are flagged for review, and only one account can pass the ID check with the same document.
• Use your real name. Clients see your name, and freelancers' payouts must match the name on their ID. A nickname now can block your first withdrawal later.
• Old Belancer users don't sign up again. If you used Belancer before, sign in with your old email and password. Your profile, portfolio, gigs and credits move with you.
• Language. Use Change language at the top of the form to switch between English and বাংলা at any step. Emails and SMS follow your choice.
