Banks, embassies and visa offices often ask freelancers for proof of income. Belancer can issue a signed earnings certificate: a one-page summary of what you earned over whole months, straight from the Belancer ledger. Each certificate has a QR code and a verification code, so whoever receives it can check online that it's genuine and still valid.

Before you start

  • An approved ID check. See ID check (eKYC).
  • At least 3 months with earnings in the period you want.
  • Your billing address (address line, city or district, country).

Steps

1Open Earnings certificate

Go to Statements and invoices and choose Earnings certificate. "A signed summary of what you earned on Belancer, for a bank or an embassy."

2Choose the period

Pick From month and To month. "Whole months that have ended."

3Add who it's for (optional)

Under Addressed to (optional), for example "The Manager, City Bank, Gulshan".

4Check your details

Your details on the certificate: Full name (as on your account and ID check) and Billing address.

5Agree and get it

Tick the box: "Anyone with this code or QR can see this certificate, including your name and address." Choose Get certificate.

6Download and share

Open it under My certificates and choose Download PDF. Give it to your bank or embassy.

What happens next

The certificate shows Earned for work, Belancer fees, Given back to clients and Net earnings, per currency, with Valid until. Anyone can check it at belancer.com/verify: they see "Genuine and valid", or "Expired" or "Revoked".

Troubleshooting

  • "An earnings certificate needs an approved ID check." Choose Verify my ID.
  • "You have … months with earnings. A certificate needs at least …" Pick a longer period or wait.
  • "Pick whole months that have ended, with the first month before the last." Fix the months.
  • "Tick the box to agree…" The consent tick is required.
  • "Add your billing address." Fill in address line 1, city or district and country.
  • The bank says the code doesn't match. Ask them to type it exactly, or scan the QR. If it says "Revoked" or "Expired", get a new one.

Good to know

  • Revoke any time: choose Revoke this certificate. Anyone who checks the code will see it's no longer valid.
  • Statements too: monthly statements also carry a verification code.
  • Privacy: only the details listed above appear. See privacy and cookies.

Tip: Ask your bank which period they need before you request, so one certificate covers it.

Important: Belancer documents can't be edited. A changed PDF won't match the copy on the verify page.
