How to complete your Belancer profile and raise your profile strength.

Your profile strength shows how complete your seller profile is. To raise it, open your profile and follow Next: under Profile strength: add a photo, a clear title, skills, portfolio projects, your rates and availability, experience, and verify your phone and ID. Each part adds points, and at 100% you can apply for Handpicked badges.

Before you start

• Your seller setup should be started. See become a seller.
• Have samples of your best work ready to upload.

Steps

1Check your profile strength

On your Freelancer home, find Profile strength and choose Improve profile. You see your score and the next thing to add, such as Add a second project or Add your education.

2Fill in Personal

Add a clear photo (face visible, plain background) and a strong About me. Write in short sentences: what you do, for whom, and what result you deliver. Add your languages.

3Fill in Professional

Pick the most accurate category and sub-category, a professional title clients would search for, your years of experience, and your skills with levels. Pick skills you can prove in your portfolio.

4Build your Portfolio

Your first project counts the most; three or more projects earn the full portfolio score. For each, show the result, explain your part in a few lines, and use real work you're allowed to share.

5Set Rate & availability

Set your BDT and USD hourly rates separately and choose Full-time, Part-time or Weekends.

6Add Experience & credentials

Add work history, education and certificates. Belancer Academy certificates are added automatically and marked as verified. Linked accounts stay private.

7Finish Verification

Verify your email and phone and complete the ID check. Verification is part of your score and unlocks selling and withdrawals. See ID check.

What happens next

Your public profile at belancer.com/@username shows sections in this order: About, Skills, Gigs, Portfolio, Reviews, FAQ, then Experience & education. At the top, clients see your intro video, or your featured portfolio project, or your top review, or an "At a glance" summary. You can choose which one shows.

Troubleshooting

• My score didn't change after an edit. Scores are calculated from saved data. Make sure you chose Save & continue, then refresh.
• I'm at the live percentage but still a draft. You also need a verified phone and at least one portfolio project.
• A portfolio file won't upload. Check the file type and size; files are checked for viruses before they appear.
• I'm away for a while. Switch to Away with the pill at the top of any page. Buyers see an Away note and new orders pause until you are back. See the Away switch.

Good to know

• Reviews are tagged by role. Reviews you get as a freelancer and as a client show separately, and agency work shows "Delivered by" with the member's name.
• Badges on your profile: up to two Handpicked badges can show on your cards. See Handpicked badges.
• Your numbers matter too. Job success, on-time delivery and response time appear on your profile once you have enough history. See job success and response time.
• Prices on your profile show only in each visitor's currency.

Tip: Write your About me in the language your clients use. Many Bangladeshi clients search in Bangla, while international clients read English.

Note: Verified members can also get a digital member ID card with a QR code that anyone can check.
