On this page

Belancer tells you when something needs your attention: a new order, a message, a payment, a dispute or a sign-in. You see everything under the bell, and you choose which kinds of updates also reach you by email, SMS or push. You can bundle non-urgent emails into a digest, set quiet hours, and pick the language for your alerts.

Before you start

  • Make sure your email and phone are verified, so alerts reach you.
  • Some alerts can't be switched off, for your safety.

Steps

1Open the bell

Choose the bell in the top bar. Tabs: All, Orders, Messages, Payments, System. Choose Mark all read to clear the count, or See all notifications.

2Open notification settings

From the bell choose Settings, or go to Settings › Notifications: "Choose what reaches you, where and when."

3Choose categories and channels

The table shows categories against In-app, Email, SMS and Push:

  • Messages
  • Orders & contracts
  • Payments
  • Proposals & offers
  • Disputes
  • Account & security (Always on)
  • Recommendations
  • News & offers

Switch each on or off.

4Pick an email digest

Under Email digest choose Instant, Daily or Weekly.

5Set quiet hours

Under Quiet hours, set From and To. "No push or SMS in this window, except security." The page shows your time zone and Belancer's default.

6Choose the language and save

Under Language for emails and alerts choose a language or Same as my account. Choose Save preferences.

What happens next

You see "Preferences saved", and new alerts follow your choices straight away. Old notifications stay in the bell until they age out.

Troubleshooting

  • "Set both times, like … or leave both empty." Quiet hours need a start and an end.
  • I still get security emails. They're always on.
  • I don't get SMS. Check your phone is verified. Some SMS are only used for codes and important alerts.
  • I get too many emails. Switch to a daily or weekly digest, or turn off Recommendations and News & offers.

Good to know

  • Order and payment alerts link straight to the order, contract or balance they're about, so one tap takes you to the right place.
  • In-app notifications are kept for a while and then cleared automatically; your orders and payments themselves are never deleted.
  • Marketing messages are limited per day and you can turn them off at any time.
  • Message emails wait a little to see if you read the message in the app first.
  • Phishing: Belancer alerts never ask for your password or codes. See stay safe.

Tip: Keep Orders & contracts and Payments on by email. They're the ones you don't want to miss.

Note: Notification settings are personal. Each member of a company or agency sets their own.

Questions and answers

Why can't I turn off some notifications?

Some categories, like account and security alerts, are always on. They protect your account and money, so they're marked "Always on".

What's the email digest?

It bundles non-urgent emails, like proposals and recommendations, into one email, sent instantly, daily or weekly as you choose.

What are quiet hours?

A time window with no push or SMS, except security alerts. Belancer has a default window, and you can set your own.

Can I get alerts in Bangla?

Yes. Under Language for emails and alerts, choose Bangla, English or the same as your account.

Why don't push notifications work?

Push alerts start with the Belancer app. Your choice is saved until then.
