On this page
Belancer is a freelance marketplace where clients in Bangladesh and around the world hire ID-verified Bangladeshi freelancers, and where Bangladeshi freelancers sell their skills and get paid safely. You can buy a ready-made service (a gig), post a project and receive proposals, book a one-to-one call with an expert, or let a Belancer project manager run the whole job for you. Every payment is held safely by Belancer until the work is approved.
Before you start
- You need a free Belancer account. See how to create an account.
- Decide what you want to do first: hire, work, or both. One account can do everything. See client or freelancer.
- Your account country is set once at sign-up and decides your currency. See account country and currency.
Steps
1Create your account
Go to belancer.com and choose Create a free account. Enter your name, mobile number, email, password and country, then confirm your email with the 6-digit code we send you. You can also choose Continue with Google.
2Tell us your goal
After you pick a username, Belancer asks What brings you here? Choose I want to work or I want to hire. This only decides which home page you see first. You can switch any time.
3If you want to hire
You have four ways to get work done:
- Buy a gig. Pick a package (Basic, Standard or Premium) from a freelancer's gig page and pay. See how to buy a gig.
- Post a project. Describe the job and budget, receive proposals, and hire the best person. See how to post a project.
- Book a consultation. Pay for a short video call with a vetted Belancer Consultant. See how to book a consultation.
- Let Belancer manage it. Describe the job in a few lines or a voice message and a project manager calls you. See managed projects.
4If you want to work
Choose Become a seller, complete the five setup steps, verify your phone and your ID, then create your first gig or send proposals to projects. See become a seller.
5Agree, pay and work inside Belancer
Talk in Messages, agree on a custom offer or contract, and pay through Belancer. The money is held as Payment Secured. The freelancer delivers on the order or contract page, and the client approves or asks for changes.
6Get paid and leave reviews
When work is approved, the freelancer's earnings move to Pending for 14 days, then become Available to withdraw to bKash, Nagad or a bank. Both sides leave a review.
What happens next
Once you are set up, your home page shows Needs your attention: the one thing you should do next, such as paying, sending requirements, delivering or approving. Follow it and you will never miss a step.
The home page also has a tile for every way to use Belancer. The Academy and affiliate programme tiles show only while those modules are open to you, so you never land on a paused page.
Troubleshooting
- I can't find the sign-up button. On a phone, open the menu at the top. On a computer, it is at the top right.
- I see prices in the wrong currency. Visitors see a currency guessed from their location. After you sign up, your account country decides the currency for good.
- I want to sell but I'm not in Bangladesh. Selling is only open to Bangladeshi citizens living in Bangladesh. You can still hire on Belancer from anywhere.
Good to know
- Who checks freelancers? Every seller passes a phone check and an ID check (NID, passport or birth registration certificate with a selfie) before they can sell or withdraw. Many also earn Handpicked badges after extra checks by our talent team.
- What if something goes wrong? Every order page has Report a problem. While a problem is open, the money stays frozen, and a Belancer specialist decides if the two sides can't agree. See report a problem.
- Is there a mobile app? Belancer works fully in your phone's browser, including messages, offers, delivery and approval. You can add it to your home screen like an app.
- Who runs Belancer? The company you contract with depends on your currency and is named in the footer of every policy page and invoice.
Tip: Keep every message, file and payment inside Belancer. Contact details are hidden in chats, and only payments made through Belancer are protected. See stay safe and avoid scams.
Note: Belancer is free to join. Fees are taken only when work is paid for, and they are always shown before you confirm. See Belancer fees.
